Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) Cat

Bear the Cat needs a home

Bear came to us from a rescue friend, who had been caring for him as a friendly stray outside her home.  She suspects that when a neighbor passed away, he was let out to fend for himself.  Lucky for him, the rescue friend cared enough to contact us about him.  Bear is about 2 years old and is a bit of a large fellow at 13 pounds.  He's all black, with a tilted ear.  He's a very mellow guy.  He loves to lounge, nap, and cuddle with his humans.  He's really taken to his foster's husband, so for any of you male humans out there looking for a feline friend, he might be a good choice for you!  He also enjoys his foster mom, but bonded with dad.  Bear can live with other animals who are low-key.  He prefers not to be chased, or run around.  So for families with animals, he would do best with cats that won't bug him too much.  He's really not a fan of dogs, even ones that are very calm and leave him alone.  He might be more comfortable in a home with slightly older kids, who can give him space.  Bear is a great find.  He's neutered, UTD on shots, negative for feline AIDs and leukemia, and ready to go.  He's seen a vet as well.
